This year's Swiss Starter Championships at the start training facility in Filzbach, Glarus, offered the Swiss bobsleigh and skeleton athletes a first test of their form before the Olympic winter. The SMBC participants were in top form. In the women's competition, Sara Schmied (skeleton) and Melanie Hasler (monobob and two-man bobsleigh) each won the title. Vinzenz Buff secured another podium finish for the SMBC with bronze in the men's skeleton. Brother Valentino followed closely behind in fourth place. In the women's push event, another SMBC athlete, Nadja Pasternack, also stood out at the top.

The fact that the athletes are in good form with a view to the Olympics is also demonstrated by the fact that both Melanie Halser in the monobob and Nadja Pasternack and Muswama Kambundji achieved personal bests in the individual push event! Hasler/Pasternack and Buff respectively broke personal bests. Hasler/Kambundji set the previous start record in Filzbach in the two-person team push.

The SMBC board warmly congratulates them on their excellent results.
