SMBC Skeletonis start the World Cup and Olympic Season.

After intensive summer and autumn training, the young Engadin athletes are looking forward to showcasing their skills on the international stage.

Sara Schmied, Vinzenz Buff (right), and Valentino Buff are starting the new World Cup season, which also counts as the Olympic season. These first races not only serve as a benchmark for their current form but are also important qualification competitions on the road to the Winter Games in Milano Cortina in mid-February 2026.

The St. Moritz Bobsleigh Club is proud of its junior athletes. 'Now it's time to keep our fingers crossed for a successful start in the World Cup so that participation in the Olympic Games becomes a reality,' says Michaela Pitsch, a board member of the SMBC and responsible for the skeleton athletes.
